Cómete el mundo
Los Abrigos

Must-try dishes
Arepas and empanadas
Cómete el Mundo is the most delicious face of Venezuela in Los Abrigos: a simple and welcoming spot where traditional Venezuelan cuisine reigns supreme and the portions arrive at a brisk pace. The concept is straightforward and honest: freshly made arepas with generous fillings, crispy tequeños, corn cachapas with cheese, and empanadas—including the pabellón—that taste like a Sunday breakfast. Must-tries include the Arepa Cabimera and the "Cómete el Mundo" Burger, designed for leisurely sharing. The dishes are made with fresh ingredients and homemade sauces, aiming for that touch of home-cooked flavor. To accompany your meal, there's no shortage of juices and the classic Malta, a detail that reinforces the nod to Venezuelan tradition. The atmosphere is warm and friendly; here, the service is as important as the food, and it shows in the efficient service and the reasonable prices that make you want to come back. Its location in a fishing village famous for its seafood makes it a unique alternative: while the sea air is fresh and salty, inside the restaurant, corn, cheese, and golden pastries reign supreme. It's the ideal spot for those seeking authenticity away from the masses, for those craving a generously filled arepa, or for trying a cachapa with all the fixings. If you're looking for a taste of Venezuela in Tenerife, this is a sure bet: a short, well-crafted menu with that homemade flavor that transforms a meal into a lasting memory.

Where to eat
Heladería Artesanal la Tejita
If you're in the La Tejita area and fancy something refreshing after the beach, this ice cream shop is a great place to stop. Here you'll find artisanal ice creams with a variety of delicious flavors, perfect for a quick treat while you're strolling or relaxing after a day at the beach. It's a simple, pleasant, and very convenient spot to indulge without any fuss.
What to see
La Hoya
The hamlet of La Hoya, in San Miguel de Abona, is one of those places that helps you understand what life was like in southern Tenerife before tourism. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest as an Ethnological Site, it preserves traditional architecture, historic paths, water sources, and agricultural terraces in a rural setting that has changed very little over time.
Activities
Tunolandia Canarias
This is a distinctive plan on the island of Tenerife across all the playa and hotels, Tunolandia is one of these curiosities that are so popular. In the Valle de San Lorenzo, this space consists of a variety of tuneras, gastronomy, tradition and products based on high pico. Aquí puedes pasear entre cactus gigantes, probar mermeladas, licores o mojo de tuno y descubrir una cara mucho más rural y diferente del sur de la isla.
Beaches
Cuevas del Trigo
Cuevas del Trigo beach is one of those wild corners of southern Tenerife where you'll feel the island remains untouched. A secluded stretch of volcanic coastline, with natural caves carved into the rock and a tranquil atmosphere, it's ideal for disconnecting, taking leisurely strolls, and listening only to the sea and the wind.

Miel Tament
Tament, which means "honey" in the Amazigh language, is an artisanal gem produced on the same estate that makes Nevales de Abona wine, using Canarian black bees. It is multifloral, pure, and deep golden in color, with a smooth texture and balanced sweetness. Although it doesn't have an official organic seal, it is produced using sustainable and traditional methods. Like the wines, this product can only be found at the San Isidro Farmers Market, at Elsa's stand.
Sports
Zona de calistenia en el Puerto de San Miguel
The Calistenia area of Puerto de San Miguel, in Amarilla Golf, is one of these locations that offers a complete experience. The park is beautiful and not particularly large, but it is just outside the sea, just like the port of sports, as it can be seen with views of the boats, the ocean and the volcanic landscape on the Costa Sur. A very tranquil location for outdoor activities in the more urban atmosphere of other parks.
Trekking
Sendero Montaña Roja
Walking the circular route that starts in El Médano and heads toward Montaña Roja is like stepping into an otherworldly volcanic landscape: reddish sand, deep blue sea, and the wind that caresses you with every step. You can see World War II bunkers, aquatic birds, and panoramic views of the southern part of the island. You'll love it if you're looking for an easy hike with that "reconnect with nature" feel in southern Tenerife.
