Valle de Guerra
Every October, the town of Valle de Guerra transforms to bring to life one of its most beloved traditions: La Librea, a performance that unites religious devotion, popular theater, and collective memory. Unlike its more well-known version in Tegueste, this one is held every year, as part of the patron saint festivities in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, and has a deeply rooted identity thanks to neighborhood involvement and strong cultural roots.
The heart of the spectacle is a symbolic naval battle, where military figures parade, decorative ships appear (yes, ships on wheels), traditional songs are sung, and typical dances are performed. All accompanied by dramatization and restrained emotion. It's as if the entire town has come together to narrate, in a theatrical tone, an ancient story of defense and faith.
In addition to the main parade, there are processions, popular games, dances, and an atmosphere that blends the solemnity of devotion with the warmth of a large neighborhood festival. It's one of those events where you don't need to understand everything that's happening to let yourself go: the music, the costumes, the dedication of the people, and the symbolism make you experience something special, very visual, and very much our own.

The Valle Colino Regional Shelter in La Laguna is Tenerife's main shelter for abandoned animals. In addition to caring for and sheltering dogs and cats, it offers the opportunity to volunteer in its daily work: walking animals, helping with cleaning them, or assisting with adoption campaigns. A caring and emotionally rewarding experience for animal lovers.

Ron Guajiro
If you want to try a rum with a true Canarian identity, Guajiro is one of those that's part of the local culture. You'll notice it especially in the honey rum: sweet, smooth, and very easy to drink, perfect after a meal or on the rocks. They also have drier and oaked versions if you prefer something more robust. It's a very local product, the kind you'll find in traditional bars and shops around the island.

BMX Parque la Vega
The BMX circuit at Parque de La Vega in La Laguna is one of the most active spaces for freestyle enthusiasts in northern Tenerife. Surrounded by greenery and a youthful atmosphere, it offers a course with ramps, jumps, and modules ideal for practicing technique and style. It's a regular meeting point for local riders who appreciate its relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere, open to all levels.
Trekking
El Tomadero
A circular route in Anaga Rural Park connecting Punta del Hidalgo with El Tomadero, ascending via a channel carved into the rock and descending through the ravine. It's approximately 6 km with little elevation gain, but includes technical and exposed sections that increase the difficulty. The channel is in very good condition and clean, although it can be quite vertigo-inducing in some places. The descent through the ravine is rocky and uncomfortable. A short but demanding route, not recommended for people with vertigo.
