The sand is golden, the water is usually calm thanks to the breakwaters, and it is well kept. It's perfect for a relaxing swim or to lie in the sun overlooking a postcard-perfect sea.

Sam's Corner Tenerife, in Playa de las Américas, is a renovated classic that maintains its lively atmosphere but now features live music several nights. Unlike the surrounding bars, it doesn't offer table service, which allows for the lowest drink prices in the area.
