Buceo en el Bufadero

Los Cristianos

El Bufadero, located next to the Palm-Mar cliff on the south coast of Tenerife, is one of the island's most highly rated dive sites due to its accessibility and marine diversity. The descent begins from a boat anchored at about 6–10 m and slowly extends along a volcanic wall to reach a sandy bottom at about 25 m depth, making it a perfect dive for beginners and intermediate divers.

In the first few meters, the clear water reveals trumpetfish, wrasse, angelfish, and grunts swimming in schools near the rock. Sea turtles are also frequently seen swimming peacefully around the area, and if you're lucky, you might spot manta rays, spotted rays, bishop rays, or even angelsharks resting on the sand.

There are two small caves accessible at shallow depths (around 4 m), but it is recommended to avoid them in strong waves due to their narrow nature.

Furthermore, the site stands out for its high visibility—between 18 and 30 m depending on conditions—and for being fully enjoyable throughout much of the year, although April and October offer the most comfortable conditions.

An experienced diver can venture into deeper areas where schools of marine specimens such as grunts, barracudas, and even large rays patrol the sandy area, completing an intense and visually stunning aquatic experience.
