Titolo 4
Bodega Cumbres de Abona
Arico

The Cumbres de Abona Winery, located in the municipality of Arico, is one of the most important landmarks of viticulture in southern Tenerife. Founded in 1989 as a cooperative that brought together small local winegrowers, it now has more than 700 members who cultivate their vineyards in different locations in the south of the island, from low-lying areas by the sea to lands over 1,000 meters above sea level. This diversity of microclimates and volcanic soils gives its wines a unique personality, marked by freshness and minerality.
The winery has been a pioneer in consolidating the Abona Designation of Origin, focusing on native varieties such as Listán Blanco, Listán Negro, and Malvasía, which produce high-quality young white wines, expressive reds, and prestigious sweet Malvasías. With more than three decades of experience, its bottles have become ambassadors of the southern winemaking identity both in the Canary Islands and abroad.
Beyond production, Cumbres de Abona has developed a wine tourism project that invites you to experience wine with all five senses. Visitors can tour its modern facilities, discover the production process, learn about the winemakers' hard work, and finish with guided tastings in a setting where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.
The winery also represents a symbol of collective work: hundreds of families united around the cultivation of vines, who have transformed the aridity of the south into a productive mosaic full of life. A visit here is to delve into a history of shared effort, love for the land, and passion for wine that has shaped the character of southern Tenerife.
