Mirador de la Ruleta
Parque Nacional del Teide

The La Ruleta viewpoint is one of the most visited spots in Teide National Park, and for good reason. Located next to the start of the Roques de García trail, it offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Ucanca Plain, with Mount Teide dominating the horizon and the eroded rock formations that surround it.
From this viewpoint, you can get one of the most iconic images of Tenerife: the Roques de García in the foreground, their silhouette twisted by erosion, and behind them, Mount Teide rising above the volcanic landscape. The light changes constantly depending on the time of day, making each visit a unique experience. At dawn and dusk, the reddish tones of the rock intensify, and the contrast with the sky is especially photogenic.
Access is very easy, with a parking area and well-marked trails. One of the park's most popular routes starts here: the circular trail that circles the Roques de García, ideal for enjoying this unique environment, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, up close.
At over 2,000 meters above sea level, the air is clean and the feeling of immensity is overwhelming. It's the perfect place to stop, breathe, and contemplate how nature has sculpted this landscape of lava and silence over centuries.
The La Ruleta viewpoint is undoubtedly one of those spots that encapsulates the essence of Tenerife: volcanic, imposing, and profoundly beautiful.
