Montaña Amarilla
Costa del Silencio

Located in the Costa del Silencio area, Montaña Amarilla is one of the most unique landscapes in southern Tenerife. Its name comes from the characteristic color of its slopes, the result of the accumulation of volcanic materials and marine deposits that, over time, have formed a series of strata in shades of yellow, ochre, and gold. This geological formation, declared a Natural Monument, rises gently above the sea and creates an environment of great scenic and biological value.
At the foot of the mountain lies a small rocky cove where the exceptionally clear water invites you to dive. This spot is highly appreciated by snorkelers and free divers, as its seabed is home to a wide variety of fish, sea urchins, octopuses, and algae. The natural protection of the area makes it a peaceful place to swim and enjoy direct contact with nature.
The trail that borders Montaña Amarilla allows you to explore its rock formations and discover small natural platforms where you can rest and contemplate the Atlantic. On clear days, the contrast between the deep blue sea, the golden mountains, and the clear sky creates a memorable image. There are no services nearby, so it's recommended to bring water, comfortable shoes, and sunscreen. Visiting Montaña Amarilla is like venturing into a corner where geology and the ocean meet in perfect harmony.
