Montaña de Guaza

Arona

Titolo 4

Guaza Mountain is a Natural Monument located near Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona, notable for its imposing silhouette and for being an enclave of great scenic and ecological value. The trail that runs through it connects the coastal town with El Palmar, offering an experience that combines ocean views, contact with native flora, and the opportunity to discover a less-traveled corner of southern Tenerife.

Along the route, which runs between old fishing paths and volcanic slopes, it is possible to stop at natural viewpoints where, with a little patience, you can observe dolphins and sea turtles swimming in the crystal-clear waters near the coast. These sightings, along with the flight of seabirds such as shearwaters and gulls, add value to the hike.

The area preserves remains of old terraces and small caves, evidence of past agricultural and fishing uses. The contrast between the volcanic aridity and the intense blue of the Atlantic creates a landscape inviting contemplation. Although this is not a technical trail, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and water, as the area lacks shade. Hiking Guaza Mountain is like discovering a corner where volcanic soil meets the sea and wildlife roams freely.
