The PR-TF 6 El Draguillo – Chamorga – Faro de Anaga trail is one of those routes that makes it clear from the start that it's not meant to be easy. It's a demanding circular route, with steep inclines and sections of very rough terrain, covering a good part of the northern and coastal slopes of the Anaga Massif. Starting in Chamorga, and over the course of about 6–7 hours, you'll connect historic villages such as El Draguillo, Las Palmas de Anaga, and Roque Bermejo, with the lighthouse as one of the most recognizable landmarks along the way.

The trail combines mid-altitude areas with very exposed coastal sections. There are narrow passages, unstable ground, and steep slopes, especially between El Draguillo and Roque Bermejo, where you need to be firm and steady on your feet. This route is not suitable if you suffer from vertigo or have little experience on technical terrain. Added to this is the high sun exposure, so managing your water and pace is crucial.

Beyond the difficulty, what truly captivates is the contrast: hamlets practically frozen in time, old communal wine presses, traditional paths, and a rugged coastline that drops abruptly to the Atlantic. The Anaga Lighthouse, isolated and battered by the wind, marks one of the most powerful moments of the route before beginning the return journey.

It's a very comprehensive route for understanding Anaga from within, but it's also subject to change: some sections have been temporarily closed due to landslides, so it's best to accept that it's not always in ideal condition. This trail isn't something you can just wing. If you come prepared, you'll have one of the most intense and authentic experiences on Tenerife's network of trails.
