Parque de Calistenia / Street Workout Kenguru PRO
Santa Cruz

The Kenguru PRO Calisthenics/Street Workout Park on the Santa Cruz seafront stands out for two very clear reasons: the quality of the facilities and its location. It's not your typical small park tucked away between buildings. Here, you literally train facing the sea, in one of the most spacious and modern areas of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife coastline.
The facility is equipped with Kenguru PRO structures, well-known in the calisthenics world for their durability and professional design. You'll find bars at different heights, parallel bars, pull-up stations, dip stations, static exercises, and functional training equipment. The park allows you to train virtually any street workout routine, whether you're a beginner or already performing more advanced movements.
One of its strongest points is the space. The entire seafront area here is very open, with wide pedestrian zones, a bike path, a skate park, and unobstructed views of the ocean. This makes training feel much more comfortable and less confined than in smaller urban parks. Plus, there's usually a good breeze, which is especially welcome on hot days.
The atmosphere changes considerably depending on the time of day. In the morning, it's usually quieter, with people training on their own or runners using the promenade. In the afternoon, the park comes alive, with regular athletes, groups of friends, and people simply stopping to look around while strolling through the area.
Another important detail is its surroundings. The Tenerife Auditorium, the Palmetum, and much of the city's renovated waterfront are all nearby, so many people combine their workouts with long walks along the seafront or other sports activities in the area.
It's not just a place to do pull-ups and leave quickly. The setting makes you want to linger. Between the ocean views, the lively promenade, and the quality of the facilities, it's easily one of the best urban calisthenics parks currently available in Tenerife.

Where to eat
Lucky Helado
If you're in downtown Santa Cruz and fancy something cold while strolling around Plaza de España, Lucky Helado is a very convenient option. It's a takeaway shop with a variety of ice creams and fast service, ideal for a quick stop before continuing your walk. Perfect for cooling off without any hassle right in the city center. There are often queues.

Urban 180
If you enjoy sipping a drink with city views and continuing the night without leaving one spot, Azotea Urban 180 is one of those rooftop bars I love to visit. Located on the seventh floor of the Hotel Urban Anaga in Santa Cruz, it shows: you get a panoramic view of the city, the sunsets take on a whole new dimension, the music and cocktails liven up the atmosphere, and as night falls, the place transforms into a lively rooftop club with a great vibe and people ready to have a good time.
