Titolo 4
Barranquismo Barranco Río Superior
Parque Rural de Anaga

The Río Superior Ravine, located in the Anaga Mountains, is one of the most impressive and complete canyoning experiences in Tenerife. Anaga, declared a Biosphere Reserve, offers one of its most characteristic landscapes: a humid environment, surrounded by laurel forest, where every step smells of wet earth and vibrant vegetation. This ravine, although relatively short, contains a diversity of natural elements that make it a small paradise for those seeking adventure and contact with nature.
The descent begins in the upper reaches of the rural park and soon enters an environment that seems out of this world: moss-covered walls, roots intertwined in the rock, small waterfalls, and hints of mist that filter through the trees. Throughout the route, participants face technical rappels, some over 20 meters, combined with slippery steps, climbs, and descents that keep the excitement constant.
The technical difficulty is moderate, but the nature of the canyon demands attention: the terrain is damp, the walls are narrow, and the ropes must be handled with precision. The experience is usually done in small groups or with a local guide, as orientation within the forest can be difficult.
Beyond the sporting aspect, the Río Superior Ravine is a direct encounter with the essence of Anaga. Its humid atmosphere, its light filtered through the foliage, and the sound of water sliding between the rocks make the descent feel almost mystical. Here, more than conquering a ravine, one is enveloped by it.
Canyoning in the Río Superior is like entering a microclimate from another time, where nature dominates every detail. It is a demanding adventure, but also one of the most rewarding for those seeking to discover the greenest, deepest, and most silent side of Tenerife.

Sendero Los Catalanes
The Los Catalanes Trail, in the Anaga Mountains, combines rural history and spectacular landscapes. It's a medium-difficulty route that connects old farmhouses through terraced fields, laurel forest, and sea views. The contrast between the humid vegetation and the remains of traditional Canarian life make this route an authentic experience, highly representative of the greenest and most peaceful side of Tenerife.
