Titolo 4
Vermut el 18 tinto
Tegueste

If you take the time to understand this vermouth, you'll see it's not just another one in its category. El 18 Tinto Vermouth is born from a very clear base: Listán Negro wine, one of Tenerife's most representative grapes, which already sets it apart from more classic vermouths made with neutral wines.
From there, things get interesting. It's made by macerating 18 botanicals, many of them native to the islands, which explains its unique aromatic profile. Here you'll find not only the usual vermouth notes (citrus and spices), but also more pronounced local flavors like Canarian incense, which gives it that herbaceous and slightly bitter undertone that makes it stand out.
On the nose and palate, it's quite expressive: orange peel, spices like cinnamon and clove, and a balance between sweetness and bitterness prevent it from being heavy. It has structure, body, and a well-rounded finish, making it more of a gastronomic vermouth than a simply refreshing one.
Another key point is the project's origin. Behind it is Bodegas El Lomo, with decades of experience in Canarian wines, alongside bartender Abel López. This blend of winemaking tradition and a more creative approach explains why the result has so much personality.
When you try it, you quickly understand the concept: this isn't a vermouth meant to go unnoticed. It's one that invites you to savor it slowly, to identify nuances, and to notice how it changes with each sip. If you're looking for something that represents the Canary Islands in an aperitif format, this fits the bill perfectly.

It's approximately 6 km with little elevation gain, but includes technical and exposed sections that increase the difficulty. The channel is in very good condition and clean, although it can be quite vertigo-inducing in some places. The descent through the ravine is rocky and uncomfortable. A short but demanding route, not recommended for people with vertigo.
