Titolo 4
Piscina natural de Punta del Hidalgo
Parque rural de anaga

The Punta del Hidalgo natural pool, also known as "El Arenisco," is one of the treasures of Tenerife's north coast. Located in Punta del Hidalgo, in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, it is a bathing area created by nature, formed by volcanic rocks that create marine pools that fill with the tides, sheltered from the waves when they are not strong. This protection allows even the most inexperienced to swim safely.
It has the prestigious Blue Flag distinction, which guarantees the quality of the water not only as suitable for bathing, but also in terms of sanitary services, safety, and environmental conditions. It has stairs and ramps for easy access to the water, showers, and lifeguard services, expanding the possibilities of use even for people with reduced mobility. All of this is set in a spectacular natural setting, where lava and volcanic rock contrast with the blue of the sea and the green of the coastal environment.
The landscape of Punta del Hidalgo complements the experience: coastal walks along the cliffs, views of the lighthouse, strolls along the water's edge, and an authentic maritime atmosphere. On clear days, you can see Mount Teide in the background, adding majesty to the setting. Many people visit not only to swim, but to relax, snorkel among the rocks, listen to the crashing waves, and sunbathe on the natural platforms.
Visiting this natural pool is one of those activities that we may not remember when planning a trip, but that later proves deeply rewarding: you connect with something simple, with nature, and at the same time, you contribute to respecting the environment. Keeping the pool clean, respecting the sea, and taking care of the facilities are all part of the experience. The Punta del Hidalgo Natural Pool doesn't compete with golden sand beaches, but offers something different: raw nature, authenticity, and moments of serenity overlooking the Atlantic.

Trekking
El Tomadero
A circular route in Anaga Rural Park connecting Punta del Hidalgo with El Tomadero, ascending via a channel carved into the rock and descending through the ravine. It's approximately 6 km with little elevation gain, but includes technical and exposed sections that increase the difficulty. The channel is in very good condition and clean, although it can be quite vertigo-inducing in some places. The descent through the ravine is rocky and uncomfortable. A short but demanding route, not recommended for people with vertigo.
