Casa Chiqui
Santa Úrsula

Casa Chiqui is a traditional guachinche (a local eatery) in Santa Úrsula that preserves the most authentic essence of northern Tenerife. Here, there are no frills or formalities: you come to eat well, drink their own wine, and enjoy the family atmosphere that only true guachinches offer.
The restaurant boasts a spacious terrace with views of Mount Teide and Puerto de la Cruz, a perfect setting for a leisurely and relaxed meal. The menu is short but well-chosen: fabada (Asturian bean stew), black pig, homemade fries, and goat meat prepared in the Fuerteventura style—tender and with that deep flavor that comes from slow cooking—are its main attractions. They also serve other grilled meats, and here, the wine is the star.
The red wine is from their own vineyard, produced locally, and sets the rhythm of the year: when it runs out, the guachinche closes until the next harvest. They are only open from Thursday to Saturday, giving it that special, almost "secret" feel, known only to regulars.
An important detail: they don't have a card machine, so it's best to bring cash. The service is friendly and direct, the atmosphere relaxed, and the prices fair, true to the spirit of guachinches: homemade food, young wine, and conversation among friends.

Where to eat
Donde Mario
Donde Mario, in Santa Úrsula, is one of those restaurants that combines modern Canarian cuisine with a personal touch. It has a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, creative dishes made with local produce, and attentive service that makes all the difference. Ideal if you're looking for a special meal without being pretentious.
What to see
Escultura de la Giganta
The Giantess is a monumental sculpture measuring approximately 4m in the La Quinta Social Garden in Santa Úrsula. It represents a reclining woman adorned with plants that create a vertical garden effect on her body. It's ideal for photos; it's located at street level with nearby parking, free access all day, and, as a bonus, you can see Mount Teide in the background on clear days.
