Tunel de las Hadas
Parque Rural de Anaga
Titolo 4

The Fairy Tunnel and Roque Negro are part of one of the most captivating circular routes in Anaga Rural Park. The usual starting point is the Pico del Inglés viewpoint, one of the island's most impressive balconies, offering panoramic views to the north and south. From there, the trail enters a laurel forest so dense that, in some sections, the vegetation arches over the path, forming a natural passageway: the famous Fairy Tunnel. The light gently filters through the leaves, and the humidity creates a magical, almost unreal feeling.
After passing through this enchanted passage, the trail descends to the small and picturesque hamlet of Roque Negro, a traditional corner where time seems to stand still. Its whitewashed houses, vegetable gardens, and agricultural terraces nestle between green mountains and deep ravines, showcasing the rural way of life that has endured for centuries in Anaga.
The circular route combines tracks, narrow paths, and steep sections, so it's recommended to wear appropriate footwear and bring some water. On foggy days, the atmosphere becomes even more mysterious, enhancing the charm of the Fairy Tunnel and the landscapes surrounding Roque Negro. It's an experience that blends nature, culture, and a touch of magic, perfect for lovers of routes with character and authenticity.
