Punta Rasca
El Palmar
Titolo 4

The trail that connects El Palm-Mar with Punta de Rasca is one of the most beautiful and peaceful coastal routes in southern Tenerife. Over a few kilometers, you pass through an area of great scenic and natural beauty, consisting of lava flows, thickets of tabaiba and cardon, and small beaches and hidden pools that invite you to linger. The sea breeze and the smell of salt accompany you throughout the journey, while the Atlantic unfolds on a wide and bright horizon.
One of the special attractions of this route is the opportunity to spot marine wildlife from land. On calm days, it is not unusual to spot pods of dolphins swimming close to the shore, and even the occasional sea turtle peeking out from its back. The clear water and the absence of large buildings along this stretch make it easy to observe marine life.
The trail ends at the Punta de Rasca lighthouse, a white and red structure that contrasts with the dark volcanic rock that surrounds it. This place conveys a sense of isolation and connection with the ocean, especially at sunset, when the golden light highlights the textures of the lava and the movement of the waves.
Although the trail is mostly flat and accessible, it lacks shade and no services, so it is recommended to bring water, a hat, and sunscreen. It is an ideal experience for those looking to combine light hiking, volcanic landscapes, and the possibility of encountering marine wildlife in their natural habitat.
