Los Cristianos
Los Cristianos is one of the most popular spots in southern Tenerife, and it's no coincidence. It began as a humble fishing village and, over the years, has transformed into a vibrant tourist hub that maintains some of its original identity. Unlike other areas, here you can still see small boats fishing near the coast, local markets, and locals who have been greeting each other on the streets their whole lives.
It has several urban beaches, such as Playa de Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Vistas, with calm waters and golden sand, ideal for families, seniors, or those looking for a comfortable swim without the waves. The wide promenade connects with other coastal areas and is lined with terraces, cafes, ice cream shops, and shops, perfect for a stroll at sunset or a leisurely drink.
It is also the departure point for ferries to La Gomera, El Hierro, and La Palma, giving it a bustling port feel. There are also options for boat trips, whale watching, and water sports. And if you move a little further from the city center, you'll find quieter, more residential areas where life moves at a different pace.
Los Cristianos is accessible, convenient, and full of options. A place where you can spend the whole day without moving too far, but also use it as a base to explore the south of the island. It has everything without losing its relaxed, coastal feel, with a curious mix of touristy and everyday life.

Plus, it's in a very central location, just a few minutes' walk from the beach.

Sendero Montaña de Chayofita
The Chayofita Mountain Trail in Los Cristianos is a simple, short route that offers one of the best panoramic views of southern Tenerife. Its route, just over a kilometer long, gently climbs an ancient volcanic cone to a peak overlooking Los Cristianos, Las Américas, and the Atlantic. It's ideal for a sunset walk, enjoying the tranquility and the cityscape from above.
