Titolo 4
Charco los Chochos
Los Sillos

Charco Los Chochos, located on the coast of Los Silos, is one of those coastal spots that combines volcanic nature, tradition, and a serene atmosphere. It is a natural pool formed by ancient lava flows that, when cooled by the sea, created saltwater pools protected from the waves. The place gets its peculiar name from a very local custom: soaking chochos, or lupins, in seawater to soften their bitter taste.
The area is equipped with access and stairs that make swimming easier, although it still retains a wild atmosphere. Its waters are crystal-clear and calm, perfect for swimming or floating while the sea gently crashes against the surface. From here, the views are spectacular: to the west rises the Teno massif with its steep cliffs, and in the background, on clear days, the silhouette of Mount Teide can be seen. At sunset, the light tinges the rocks and water with gold, offering a picture-perfect setting for photography lovers.
It's a place that invites you to unwind, listen to the sea, and let the calm take you away, ideal for those seeking a more peaceful and authentic experience than the island's crowded beaches.
