Routes
Traveling through Tenerife by road is one of the best ways to understand the island. In just a few kilometers, you can go from the sea to the mountains, from the intense green of the Anaga forests to the lunar landscape of Mount Teide, or from the cliffs of the north to the golden beaches of the south. The incredible thing is how everything changes without you even noticing: the weather, the light, the colors... even the feeling of being in a different place every hour.
Driving through Tenerife isn't just about moving from one point to another: it's part of the experience. There are roads that seem made for enjoying the scenery, with viewpoints that invite you to stop, take a photo, and linger for a while. From the winding and spectacular stretches in the north, where vegetation takes over the road, to the roads that climb toward Teide National Park, where the volcanic landscape seems straight out of another planet.
The beauty is that the routes can be adapted to every type of traveler. If you like contrasts, you can start the day among banana trees and end it watching the sunset over a sea of clouds. If you prefer something more peaceful, there are routes that connect small towns, family-run wineries, and hidden guachinches where you can eat wonderfully. And if you like the coast, there are seaside roads where the Atlantic accompanies you the entire way.
Tenerife is designed to be enjoyed without rushing: stop when you want, detour, and discover places that don't appear on the maps. Each route has its own charm, and the best way to get to know the island is to let the road surprise you. Here, driving isn't an obligation: it's an invitation to look, feel, and discover.
