Titolo 4
Playa de la Nea
Radazul

When you arrive at La Nea Beach, in the municipality of El Rosario, you get the feeling of being on a beach frequented by locals, not an artificial space created for fast tourism. It's in Radazul, very close to Bocacangrejo, and that's evident in the atmosphere: people who come to swim peacefully, stroll along the promenade, or spend a leisurely afternoon.
The beach has black volcanic sand, mixed with gravel in some sections, and an elongated shape that makes it comfortable to lay out your towel or move around without feeling crowded. The sea here is usually calmer than usual on this coast, thanks to a breakwater that protects the swimming area and allows you to enter the water more safely, even on days with some waves.
The surroundings are semi-urban, but well-designed. On one side, there are low-rise buildings and gardens, and on the other, the open sea. The promenade runs alongside the beach and connects it to the rest of the area, making it a great place to walk, run, or simply sit and gaze at the Atlantic. The light, especially at certain times of day, beautifully highlights the contrast between the black sand, the blue water, and the vegetation surrounding the promenade.
It's a well-equipped beach, making it easy to spend several hours here without any hassle. Everything is integrated quite discreetly, without disrupting the natural beauty of the place. It can get more crowded in the summer, especially due to its proximity to Santa Cruz, but outside of peak season, it maintains a very pleasant atmosphere.
La Nea works perfectly as a quick getaway, the kind you can visit even if you don't have the whole day free. It's not a wild or isolated beach, but it strikes a balance: accessible sea, well-maintained surroundings, and a sense of tranquility that isn't always easy to find so close to the city. The plan here is simple and effective: swim, walk, breathe in the sea air, and stay a little longer than you intended.
