Titolo 4
Playa del Socorro
Los Realejos

Playa del Socorro, located in the municipality of Los Realejos, is one of the most beloved beaches in northern Tenerife. Surrounded by imposing cliffs and Atlantic vegetation, this beach of fine, black volcanic sand stretches for more than 400 meters, offering a vibrant natural setting where the ocean presents itself with power and character.
El Socorro is especially popular with surfers and bodyboarders for its consistent, powerful waves. In fact, it regularly hosts local and international competitions. It's also a popular beach for families and bathers, thanks to its well-managed facilities: the bathing area is protected and separated from the direct waves, allowing for safe enjoyment.
It is very well-equipped: it has lifeguards, showers, restrooms, access for people with reduced mobility, nearby parking, and even a small beach bar offering drinks and casual food with sea views. In summer, the youth area "El Puntito" offers activities, books, and free Wi-Fi, giving it a modern and dynamic feel without losing the local atmosphere.
Access is easy by road, with a scenic descent that offers spectacular views of the Atlantic. Upon arrival, you're greeted by the sea breeze, the sound of the waves, and a panorama that seems straight out of a postcard. Whether you're spending the day sunbathing, surfing, or watching a silent sunset by the sea, this beach is an authentic northern Tenerife experience.

Where to eat
El Monasterio
El Mesón-Monasterio is an exceptional culinary space: a former 18th-century Dominican convent converted into a restaurant, with over 100,000 m² of gardens, a farm, and viewing platforms. Here, several spaces coexist under one roof, from terraces to lounges with free-roaming birds. Canarian cuisine, tapas, brunch, and a gourmet shop are served in a historic and almost magical setting.
What to see
Playa de los Roques
Los Roques Beach is a wild volcanic cove brimming with charm. Black sand mixed with pebbles, and two giant rocks emerge from the sea like natural sculptures. Barely 350 meters long and with no services, the beach has a very peaceful atmosphere. You can reach it by walking along the water path from Rambla de Castro. Strong waves: ideal for viewing, not for swimming.
Activities
Refugio Internacional para Animales
The International Animal Shelter in La Cruz Santa (Los Realejos, northern Tenerife) has been rescuing abandoned or abused dogs since 1976. All animals taken in are sterilized, vaccinated, identified, dewormed, and tested for heartworm. Visiting not only allows you to learn about essential work, but also to contribute to the community by giving a voice to those who cannot ask for help on their own.
