Titolo 4
Finca Ecológica Alma de Trevejos
La Escalona

The Alma de Trevejos Organic Farm, located in Vilaflor at over 1,200 meters above sea level, is a space that preserves Tenerife's agricultural heritage while promoting a sustainable way of life. Its greatest treasure is its organic vineyards, where native grape varieties such as Listán Blanco, Listán Negro, and Negra Mol are grown, giving rise to wines with their own unique character within the Abona Designation of Origin. These vineyards, cared for in an environmentally friendly manner, benefit from the altitude and volcanic soil, providing unique aromas and nuances.
At the heart of the farm is a 1950s winery, built semi-underground to take advantage of the earth as a natural insulator. This ingenious solution maintains a stable temperature year-round and better preserves the wines, especially the whites, achieving freshness and balance.
Beyond wine production, Alma de Trevejos is a living space, a sort of "Noah's Ark" where animals linked to Canarian rural traditions coexist, such as the black pig, Herreña sheep, and poultry. The estate also preserves fruit trees and endemic plant species, creating an ecosystem that reflects the island's natural richness.
Visitors can walk the trails through the vineyards, discover sustainable agricultural practices, observe native fauna, and finish with a wine tasting in a serene setting. The estate is distinguished by its ability to unite Tenerife's winemaking history with a present focused on ecology and respect for the environment, making it a perfect destination for those seeking authenticity and connection with nature.
